In 1806, “Tecumseh’s Eclipse” was observed by 27 year old James Fenimore Cooper, noted American author of “The Last of the Mohicans.” As has been said by so many others since, a Total Eclipse of the Sun is a most unique experience, unlike every other sight that one can see in the sky.
