Here’s an image from the music video for “Blackstar,” the title tune of the recently-released final album by the late David Bowie. The “black star” in the video is a depiction of a Total Eclipse of the Sun. I wonder if Bowie ever saw an actual total eclipse during his life? Only a tiny percentage of the human race has ever seen a total solar eclipse, and that includes wealthy celebrities with the means to travel the world. Wonder why that is?
