RV Camping in WYOMING

(Cheyenne WY) – On August 21, 2017, a rare astronomical event will be taking place as a total solar eclipse will make its way across the beautiful Wyoming skies. For the first time since 1979, this event will be viewable in the Cowboy state and many locations, including the Laramie County Fairgrounds at Archer, are preparing to welcome astronomers, eclipse enthusiasts and visitors hoping to see this once-in-a-lifetime event.

The eclipse’s path of totality will make its way through the entire central region of the Wyoming, providing visitors the opportunity to see it in some of the nation’s most stunning landscapes. Areas and communities located directly under this path will experience the eclipse for approximately 2.5 minutes. The eclipse will be viewable for a lesser duration of time in communities located roughly 30 – 50 miles from the center of totality, but still within the eclipse’s path.

To correspond with this incredible event, Wyoming communities—along with several other state and local agencies— are preparing to welcome visitors. The Laramie County Fairgrounds at Archer will be offering RV camping from August 18, 2017 to August 22, 2017 in their newly constructed campground located at 3967 Archer Parkway Cheyenne WY 82009.
