I was trying to gather a group of friends to attend the eclipse together, but ended up with fewer than expected, and so find myself with a (non-refundable) motel room in Shoshoni that I do not need.
This room is for the full 3 nights of eclipse weekend @ $200/night plus tax. I’ve already paid the $600 total and just want to get my original money back. You’d be responsible at check-in for the additional 9% room tax ($54).
The motel is basic, and the rooms are a little on the small side, but clean and comfortable. One queen bed, fridge, microwave, wi-fi. Services in town, ordinarily, are just a gas station and convenience store; not sure if there will be more services provided especially for the eclipse event.
According to Wikipedia, Shoshoni “is, some years, the driest town in the entire Mountain Time Zone,” so while you never know for sure, it’s a good bet for clear weather on Eclipse Day.
If interested, email me and we’ll figure out details of how I can be reimbursed and you can have the reservation transferred to your name. Jonathan Roche <[email protected]>
