Murphy, NC is located in the Totality Path of the Aug. 21 Solar Eclipse. Our area will be in complete darkness for approximately 2 minutes and 34 seconds.
We are offering primitive camping in our field from Friday Aug. 18th through Tuesday Aug. 22nd.
The majority of our camp sites are 20’x20′, with assigned parking spots in an adjoining parking area. Additional parking is available if needed. You can unload your vehicle at your camp site, then vehicle must be moved to the assigned parking area. We also have a limited number of 30’x30′ handicapped camp sites available allowing parking on the site. Please let us know at registration if you require one of these sites. There will be porta-pottie access and waste disposal. PLEASE NOTE: There is no power access, water access or fire pits available; however there is free Wi-Fi access, a designated recreational area for games such horseshoes, cornhole and volleyball and you may also set up a grill for cooking (covered tables will be provided, but bring your own chairs.)
You will also receive a welcome packet with maps and information about the area to help you while you’re in town.
Upon arrival you will be required to sign a liability waiver.

We are offering camping for tents or RV’s in our 6 acre field right on West US Hwy 64 on the westbound side between miles markers 8 and 7. Shade around the perimeter, very level, and a creek view from the back. First come, first served. There will be port a potties and trash cans. No water or electric. We will open the field at 10 AM on Thursday. Please contact us for more information.
