Eclipse Shades – Safe Solar Viewing Sunglasses!
Absolutely safe for direct solar viewing!
View the 2017 Total Eclipse of the Sun! Or just look at the Sun anytime!
SPECIAL! We are now carrying the special 2017 All-American Solar Eclipse design, created by astronomer/artist Tyler Nordgren! A collectors’ item to be sure!
Made in the USA by Rainbow Symphony of Reseda, California! Don’t risk your eyes with cheap knockoff glasses from China!
What are they? The lenses are made of scratch-resistant, “Black Polymer” material in a cardstock frame. Eclipse Shades filter out 100% of harmful ultra-violet, 100% of harmful infrared, and 99.999% of the intense visible light from the Sun. This solar viewing material is optical density 5 or greater and is “CE”certified which meets the transmission requirements of scale 12-16 of EN 169/1992. Meets the requirement for ISO 12312-2:2015.
What do you see? These premium solar filters create a sharp ORANGE-colored image of the Sun. Eclipse Shades are so dark, you really can’t see anything but the Sun! Eclipse Shades are perfect for viewing a partial solar eclipse or just looking at the Sun on any sunny day. This is how the Sun appears as seen through Eclipse Shades….
Observe sunspots! The images depict the progression of sunspot group AR2192 during the partial solar eclipse of October 23, 2014 and in the following days, as seen through Eclipse Shades. The daily sunspot progression corresponds with the actual rotation of the Sun! (Large, visible sunspot groups are not available at all times.)
Do not use Eclipse Shades with any telescope, binoculars or other optical device! Instead, use the suitable solar filters specifically created for such optical instruments!!!!
